FEEDBACK
Week 2
Dr. Wong corrected our target users and interview questions. She also reminded us to conduct site visits.
Week 3
We need to add inclusion and exclusion criteria for our target users.
Week 9
The idea is good, and we can proceed to the prototype stage.
Week 10
The current prototype is not optimal, as the fan blows directly toward the eyes, which can be uncomfortable when used for a long time. We need to ensure the fan does not block the user's view and that the product is not too heavy.
Week 11
The task is incorrect. It should focus on relevant measures, be simple, and follow the correct steps (e.g., wear the fan, turn on the fan, adjust the fan, turn off the fan), rather than focusing on first impressions.
Week 14
The idea is great. However, there is still room for improvement. The fan is too big and heavy, and it is not obvious that the fan can be adjusted to the left and right. The cap feels flimsy, and the cooling gel is slow to produce a cooling effect.
REFLECTION
This module has taught me how to create a product that addresses real life problems. My group and I had many discussions and conducted a lot of research to identify a suitable product based on our chosen theme. Although we had different opinions, through discussion and reasoning, we were able to find a solution that every member agreed on. This module also taught me to be more patient and to work better as part of a team.
We faced quite a lot of challenges, and there were moments when we felt stuck and unsure of what to do next. However, as a team, we continued to conduct further research and asked for opinions from others, such as family members or friends outside the project, to help us find solutions. In the end, the results were great. Our client was pleased with our work, and everything went well. Overall, I learned many valuable things from this module.
Our success was also thanks to Dr. Wong, who guided and advised us to ensure that we did not make mistakes that would be difficult to fix later or upset the client. The lectures provided were also very helpful in guiding us throughout the planning process, and I was able to apply what I learned to other modules as well. At the end of the day, I enjoyed every stage of the process, from research to user testing, and it was very rewarding to know that our testers, client, lecturer, and our team were all satisfied with the final outcome.
